Network Operations Center Specialist

About the role

TaskUs, a provider of outsourced digital services and customer experience to technology companies, is looking for a Network Operations Center Specialist in Imus. The specialist ensures maximum service availability and performance across the infrastructure by monitoring alerts 24x7, performing troubleshooting, escalating incidents and keeping the network running with minimal service impact.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure, development and environmental alerts and give early warning and rapid response to each one.
• Validate alerts, investigate issues, resolve problems and communicate status.
• Perform routine health checks beyond automated monitoring to detect service-affecting issues quickly.
• Respond to alarms, alerts and abnormal behaviors detected through reactive or proactive monitoring.
• Analyze monitoring data to proactively identify network issues.
• Monitor the ticket queue for service requests and respond or resolve them.
• Carry out regular network troubleshooting and resolve connectivity issues.
• Generate periodic reports on network performance and provide metrics to management as requested.
• Document all activities in the ticketing system and follow event, incident and change management procedures and escalation processes.
• Work flexibly as the NOC is open 24x7x365 and take part in NOC continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of network administration experience with hands-on experience managing switches, routers and firewalls.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Able to work under pressure, independently and in a team, and to adapt to shifting schedules.

Required skills

• Cisco IOS, network design, load balancers, and routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IPVPN, MPLS, FR or ATM.
• ITIL knowledge is a plus.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience administering SolarWinds tools and familiarity with Wireshark and other internal network management tools.
