About the role
We are looking for a talented Native Android Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance Android applications that power BJAK’s insurance and financial products. You will work remotely with a global engineering team, delivering intuitive user experiences across payments, claims, renewals and broader financial services.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and ensure application stability, responsiveness and scalability.
- Optimize app startup time, rendering performance, ANR rates, crash rates, memory usage and battery efficiency.
- Implement AI‑assisted features where they add genuine user value.
- Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews and best‑practice engineering standards.
Required profile
- 3+ years of professional experience developing native Android applications.
- Proven ability to ship production‑ready Android apps.
- Comfortable working independently in a distributed remote team.
- High ownership, fast execution and strong attention to engineering quality.
