Multi‑Skilled Technician – Facility Operations

About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Technician (Operations) provides hands‑on technical support for daily facility operations. You will respond to real‑time service requests, troubleshoot building‑system issues and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to work orders in the CMMS, prioritising requests and communicating status updates.
• Perform daily rounds to inspect equipment, monitor the building automation system for alarms and set‑point deviations, and make operational adjustments to HVAC, lighting and other systems.
• Execute multi‑trade maintenance tasks including HVAC filter changes, belt replacements, minor component repairs, electrical lamp and ballast replacements, receptacle repairs, circuit troubleshooting, plumbing faucet and toilet repairs, drain clearing, carpentry adjustments, drywall patching, painting touch‑ups and fixture installations.
• Provide emergency response for equipment failures and system outages, escalating to specialised teams when required.
• Maintain records of repairs, adjustments and inspections to support preventive maintenance programmes.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly assess problems, determine appropriate solutions and execute repairs or escalation.
• Strong communication skills for status updates to occupants and management.
• Versatility to work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds maintenance within qualification limits.
• Commitment to safety and occupant comfort.

Required skills

• HVAC maintenance (filter changes, belt replacements, component repairs, system start‑up/shut‑down).
• Building automation system monitoring and alarm response.
• Electrical work (lamp replacement, ballast change, receptacle repair, circuit troubleshooting).
• Plumbing repairs (faucet repair, toilet/flush‑valve replacement, drain clearing, leak repair).
• Carpentry and general building maintenance (door hardware adjustment, drywall patching, painting touch‑up, fixture installation).
• Grounds and exterior upkeep (walkway maintenance, minor landscaping, perimeter inspection).
