Mold Equipment Engineer

About the role

As a Mold Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments you will support semiconductor manufacturing by ensuring the reliability and performance of mold‑related equipment. You will work in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality and integrity of the mold equipment engineering process.
• Oversee installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Stay current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability to drive uptime improvements.
• Develop programs and solutions to address equipment problems affecting production.
• Provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Mold equipment setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Creation of work instructions, procedures and critical machine specifications.
• Machine calibration and use of handy panel/calibration jigs.
• Material‑to‑machine integration knowledge.
• Chase tooling, balancing and setup expertise.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and Spotfire for data collection and visualization.
• Mold Flow simulation experience.
• Familiarity with Nordson/Panasonic plasma bake ovens, CSAM/X‑ray systems, EO/Josung lasers and Accurtech/Disco saws.
• Singulation process experience.
