Millwork Architect – Permanent Remote (WFH)

About the role

The Millwork Architect is responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing detailed millwork shop drawings using AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision. Working remotely, you will ensure drawings are accurate, constructible, and aligned with architectural intent and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and schedules to understand requirements.
• Create, amend, edit, and print detailed 2D/3D millwork shop drawings.
• Lead projects from submittal through final approval, maintaining version control on the server.
• Perform quality control reviews across all drawing phases, incorporating ASIs, addenda, RFIs, and field measurements.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, purchasing, and production teams to confirm scope and constructability.
• Provide regular progress updates and attend internal handoff meetings.
• Support field measurements, monitor scope changes, and assist with production quality control.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision for modeling, drafting, material scheduling, and purchasing reports.
• Research and design new millwork products, maintaining best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in commercial millwork CAD and/or Cabinet Vision.
• Familiarity with Division 6 woodwork and AWI standards (preferred).
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
