Mid‑Level PHP/Magento 2 Developer

About the role

The Mid‑Level PHP/Magento 2 Developer works the night shift to ensure the company’s Adobe Commerce platform stays stable, secure, and continuously improved. This hands‑on engineering role covers feature development, bug fixing, and production support outside regular business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom Magento 2 modules, plugins, observers, and GraphQL/REST endpoints.
• Deliver feature tickets from analysis through deployment, focusing on checkout, order, shipping, refund, and payment‑gateway flows.
• Investigate and resolve production bugs and P1/P2 incidents promptly, adhering to SLA targets.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, document findings, and escalate complex issues to the Backend Team Lead.
• Follow branch, commit, and PR conventions; pass all CI gates (PHPStan, PHPCS) and hand over ready‑to‑merge PRs.
• Manage tickets in Jira with proper comments, status updates, and end‑of‑day handovers; log time accurately in Time Doctor.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional PHP development, including at least 2 years with Magento 2.
• Experience building custom modules, plugins, observers, and service contracts.
• Strong knowledge of checkout, order, shipping, refund, and payment‑gateway integrations.
• Proficiency with MySQL query optimization, Git, Composer, and Docker‑based environments.
• Ability to debug production issues independently under time pressure.
• Clear written English for Jira comments and shift handovers.
