Merchandise Planning Manager

About the role

The Merchandise Planning Manager is responsible for aligning product assortment, production volumes, and in‑store presentation with the company's strategic objectives. This role ensures that merchandising, sales floor layout, and marketing initiatives work together to meet short‑term sales targets while supporting long‑term brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Determine optimal product mix and production volumes based on global and product strategies.
• Create and maintain sales‑floor plans that integrate in‑store marketing and merchandising concepts.
• Develop and execute comprehensive product and production plans.
• Link product assortment, floor layout, and marketing activities to achieve both immediate sales goals and brand‑building objectives.
• Continuously adjust yearly, monthly, and weekly business plans based on performance data.
• Formulate seasonal and monthly budgets by colour, pattern, and size, reflecting market trends and demand forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Mass Communications, Textile/Fashion Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, product planning, or a comparable discipline.
• Previous experience at an Assistant Manager or Manager level in merchandising is preferred.
