About the role

The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients within our maritime health service. This role involves direct patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up, ensuring high‑quality medical support for crew members and associated personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain detailed medical histories.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and appropriate screenings.
• Encode medical histories and examination results into the health information system.
• Recommend diagnoses and treatment plans, referring to specialists when necessary.
• Provide screening, advice, and follow‑up care for symptomatic individuals.
• Ensure completeness of the PEME (Pre‑Employment Medical Examination) package for the assigned maritime company.
• Evaluate pending medical procedures and results, prescribing medications as required.
• Identify cases needing additional tests, repeat examinations, or specialist referral.
• Explain medical results clearly to patients.
• Conduct telemedicine consultations when appropriate.

Required profile

• Fully licensed medical doctor without plans to pursue residency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
• Computer literate with basic proficiency in health‑record software.
