Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Join Aggreko in Taguig, Manila as a Mechanical Design Engineer, creating and supporting mechanical engineering designs for power generation, temperature control, and energy projects. You will work closely with sales, project, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical layouts, 3D models, P&IDs, piping drawings, and equipment arrangements using CAD software.
• Design and support balance‑of‑plant systems such as cooling, ventilation, fuel, exhaust, and auxiliary mechanical equipment.
• Perform engineering calculations and select mechanical equipment including pumps, fans, heat exchangers, chillers, valves, and tanks.
• Coordinate project designs, proposals, site support, technical reviews, and commissioning assistance.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and engineering standards and keep project documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; RME certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in power generation, energy, utilities, temperature control, or industrial applications.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and gas power generation systems and mechanical balance‑of‑plant equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and 3D modelling tools.
• Ability to prepare and interpret P&IDs, mechanical layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with mechanical equipment sizing, engineering calculations, and design of piping, cooling, ventilation, fuel, and exhaust systems.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP or EasyPower.
