Manufacturing Technician II

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician II ensures the smooth operation of production equipment on the assembly line, handling set‑up, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to minimise downtime while meeting quality and safety standards. You will collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to support continuous‑improvement initiatives and uphold a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain proper machine operation to achieve production targets.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise production interruptions.
• Conduct equipment set‑up and changeovers for different production runs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment performance and downtime.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers on process improvements.
• Implement 5S+1 (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and TPM practices.

Required profile

• Graduate of at least vocational, technical or diploma courses.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar production or manufacturing role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and SOPs.
• Proficient in reading and understanding part drawings.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical or Automation disciplines.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance data.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement practices.
