Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

Texas Instruments is seeking an energetic Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive continual improvement across its semiconductor fabs. The role offers exposure to cross‑functional teams, both inside and outside the fab, and provides meaningful, challenging projects that support business partners and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive solutions for customer returns and root‑cause investigations.
• Act as a bridge between the business‑unit quality team and the fab.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to implement solutions.
• Lead small cross‑functional teams to deliver timely and accurate root‑cause analyses.
• Communicate performance metrics, opportunities, and next steps in internal and external forums.
• Collaborate daily with engineering peers inside and outside the fab and, when needed, with external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Engineering Physics, Chemistry or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in quality or engineering roles within the semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency in program management, semiconductor process flow, and quality systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence larger groups.
• Experience with customer‑facing programs is preferred.

Required skills

• Quality methodologies: 8D, SPC, DOE, 7QC tools, Quality system audit.
• Data analysis tools: Spotfire, MBayse.
• Root‑cause analysis techniques.
• Standard quality systems: QTS, SFC, QC Story, Alerts.
