About the role

In the fast‑moving travel industry, loyalty programs are the engine that drives customer engagement and revenue growth. As a Manager of Software Engineering for Java and Loyalty Solutions, you will lead a dedicated team that delivers high‑quality, secure solutions for airline customers, bridging strategy and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor both local and remote engineers, setting objectives aligned with organisational goals.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements, assess risks, and support resource planning for projects.
• Define and evolve component strategies, ensuring code integrity in collaboration with architects.
• Champion quality across the development lifecycle, owning CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
• Develop reusable modules and libraries for functional teams and contribute to RFP responses and migration assessments.
• Proactively identify recurring issues, propose long‑term solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing software engineering teams, preferably in a travel or airline context.
• Strong understanding of customer‑centric delivery and ability to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a partner for airline customers and internal stakeholders.
