Manager, Global Accounting

About the role

The Manager, Global Accounting will join Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Global Finance Operations team in the Philippines. The role ensures accurate, timely month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, supports corporate reporting, and drives finance transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close activities, account reconciliations, and corporate reporting packages.
• Perform variance analysis, investigate trends, and validate balance‑sheet reserves such as Return Reserve and Rebate Accrual.
• Ensure detailed accuracy of revenues, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing expenses by title, territory, and market.
• Derive direct operating cash flow, reconcile actual cash flow versus budget/forecast, and prepare disclosure schedules.
• Review and guide accounting work performed by Capgemini, including procedure updates and training.
• Support finance transformation projects, process improvements, and user acceptance testing for new systems.
• Provide GFO support for Crunchyroll domestic physical distribution, including monthly flash reports and ad‑hoc requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or analysis.
• Experience with outsourced finance service providers and U.S. company environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency with SAP/BW reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
