Maintenance Crew

About the role

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Crew member to ensure the smooth operation of hatchery equipment and machinery. The role involves routine inspections, repairs, and general upkeep in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• NC II certification in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) OR Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM).
• At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, pumps, and basic plumbing.
• Physically fit and able to work in a hatchery environment.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed.
