Light Vehicle Driver

About the role

OceanaGold is looking for a reliable Light Vehicle Driver to provide safe and timely transport of personnel and merchandise at the Didipio underground mine in Luzon, Philippines. The role works under the supervision of the Camp Administration and Transportation Services Supervisor and reports to Legal, Permitting and Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Apply defensive driving techniques to anticipate and prevent potential hazards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑maintained vehicle at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company and Philippine transportation standards.
• Prioritise road safety, exhibit courteous behaviour toward other road users, and follow company SOPs.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of vehicle conditions.
• Carry out job hazard analysis or risk assessments and report safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold values and the OceanaGold Way.
• High school or vocational education preferred.
• At least two (2) years of relevant driving experience in Metro and Central Luzon.
• Valid Professional Driver’s License and National Certificate in Driving.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
