LifeAsia Developer (On-site)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LifeAsia Developer to join our insurance technology team on a project‑based basis. The role focuses on enhancing, maintaining, and supporting our core Life/400, Life/Asia, and Integral Life Insurance software applications while collaborating closely with front‑end teams and business analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain the company’s core admin system built on AS/400 and SMART/400 platforms.
• Work with the front‑end application team to ensure a robust end‑to‑end software lifecycle.
• Define and document scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements and propose efficient technical solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, conduct unit and integration testing, and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform quality analysis before acceptance testing and ensure compliance with IT governance policies.
• Review code produced by junior developers, providing feedback and mentorship.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing insurance applications on AS/400 and SMART/400.
• Hands‑on experience with Life/400, Life/Asia, and related SOAP APIs.
• Strong background in QL400, COBOL400, and SMART400 programming.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
