Lawyer – Legal Department

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is based in Quezon City and reports to the Head of the Legal Department. The Lawyer will provide legal advice, draft and review contracts, conduct legal research, and represent New San Jose Builders, Inc. in various legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of the Legal Department with legal and factual research on assigned cases.
• Provide legal advice to all company departments and supervise legal assistants.
• Process, document, and monitor legal requests for drafting or reviewing contracts and other legal documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal opinions with external parties.
• Support the corporate secretary in drafting and reviewing corporate documents and maintain corporate records.
• Act as corporate secretary when the designated officer is unavailable.
• Handle active civil, criminal, labor, and administrative cases, including drafting pleadings and motions.
• Represent the company in administrative and judicial hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.

• Ability to assist the Head of the Legal Department in assigned matters.
• Willingness to provide legal advice across all company departments.
• Capability to supervise and guide legal assistants.
• Readiness to work on-site in Quezon City.
