Junior Software Developer – .NET & Cloud

About the role

Join a collaborative development team as a Junior Software Developer working on Microsoft technologies. You will help maintain and modernize enterprise business applications while gaining hands‑on experience with VB.NET, C#.NET, cloud services, AI, and third‑party integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using VB.NET, C# and the Microsoft .NET stack.
• Support legacy VB.NET applications and contribute to new .NET projects.
• Implement new features, bug fixes and enhancements under senior developer guidance.
• Assist with integrations, including third‑party platforms such as Xero.
• Write, maintain and optimise SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Participate in testing, debugging, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Contribute to AI, automation and scripting initiatives as needed.
• Use GitHub for version control and collaborate within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of software development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• VB.NET, C#.NET Framework (experience with .NET 8 or .NET MAUI is a plus).
• Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
• Git / GitHub version control.
• Familiarity with Xero APIs, DevExpress or Syncfusion controls.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or Azure App Services.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Interest or experience in AI, automation or scripting.
