Junior SMSF Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior SMSF Accountant to join Smartsourcing’s fast‑growing finance team. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop specialised expertise in self‑managed superannuation funds (SMSF) while working remotely alongside onshore and offshore colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of SMSF accounts, tax returns and BAS.
• Support monthly processing and compliance engagements for SMSF clients.
• Maintain accurate and organized client files and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, respond to emails within 24 hours and participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Complete timesheets with detailed task narrations and meet productivity targets.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience working with SMSF, preferably using Class Super.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
