Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to support its growing legal and compliance function. You will work closely with senior counsel and external law firms to manage disputes, draft agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance across the crypto and fintech space.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing pre‑litigation disputes and formal litigation matters, including document discovery and case budgeting.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on user disputes, regulatory inquiries, and potential claims.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, SaaS licenses, marketing partnerships, NDAs, and user service terms.
• Support senior counsel in complex negotiations involving banking, data, and strategic partnerships.
• Maintain the contract management system and monitor evolving cryptocurrency, fintech, and financial‑services regulations.
• Prepare legal advisories, compliance guidance, and licensing documentation for new products and global registrations.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, board and shareholder meeting materials, and corporate record‑keeping.
• Support data‑privacy compliance programs, including policy updates, privacy impact assessments, and DPA reviews.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the Philippines.
• 1‑3 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in a reputable law firm or in‑house at a technology, financial services, or fintech organization.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
• Foundational knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and litigation procedures.
