Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support our corporate and regulatory compliance functions. The role will involve reviewing legislation, preparing legal documents, and providing advisory support across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, and government issuances relevant to the business, including updates from agencies such as the SEC, NPC, AMLC, BSP, and DOLE.
• Ensure the company and its partners, vendors, and clients remain fully compliant with applicable legal requirements.
• Maintain a calendar of reportorial deadlines and ensure timely filing of all statutory reports.
• Prepare, review, and notarize agreements and other legal documents as needed.
• Provide corporate secretarial support for management committees and board meetings, coordinating with the corporate secretarial service provider.
• Deliver legal and compliance advice to internal teams and perform due‑diligence activities when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and corporate housekeeping tasks.
• Experience in corporate compliance, preferably within a financial institution, bank, lending company, or fintech.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience in due‑diligence work is a plus.
