Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support our compliance and corporate governance functions. The role will involve monitoring regulatory developments, ensuring company-wide adherence to laws, and providing legal advice to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, and government issuances relevant to the business, including updates from the SEC, NPC, AMLC, BSP, and DOLE.
• Ensure the company and its partners, vendors, and clients remain compliant with applicable legal requirements.
• Maintain calendars and records for all statutory filing deadlines and reportorial obligations.
• Prepare, review, and notarize agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide corporate secretarial support for board and management committee meetings, coordinating with external service providers.
• Offer legal and compliance advice to various business units.
• Perform due‑diligence activities as needed.

Required profile

• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and corporate housekeeping, preferably within a financial institution or other regulated entity.
• Strong communication, analytical, research, and writing abilities.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Prior exposure to due‑diligence work is a plus.
