Junior IT Audit Associate

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Junior IT Audit Associate to join its IT Audit team. You will work with financial audit colleagues and clients across various industries to provide assurance on IT systems, controls, and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute day‑to‑day activities of IT audit and data assurance engagements for diverse clients.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls, governance practices, and data quality.
• Identify, communicate, and deliver value‑adding recommendations on IT risk and performance improvement.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering a supportive team environment.
• Participate in broader development opportunities within the audit function and collaborate with global teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Finance or related fields (preferred).
• 0‑1 year of relevant experience in audit, risk management or compliance with an IT focus.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CISA, CISM, CIA or CGEIT are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) – preferred.
• Experience with analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI and Python.
• Comfort using AI tools to increase work efficiency.
