Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. The role focuses on building, automating and maintaining our cloud‑based infrastructure, ensuring reliable deployments and supporting our development pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and configure operational environments based on approved architecture for development, staging and production.
• Deploy, install, configure and test software and hardware, and create automation scripts for configuration, deployment and testing.
• Monitor system, network, database and application performance; log issues, tune performance and troubleshoot security or availability problems.
• Implement and enforce security policies, manage access controls, firewalls and authentication mechanisms.
• Conduct scheduled audits, recommend improvements for performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Participate in project scoping, provide architectural guidance, and document solution designs.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu or RHEL/CentOS).
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, VPC, Security Groups and CloudFormation.
• Experience writing Shell/Bash scripts and using CI/CD tools.
• Basic knowledge of database administration (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
• Understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Ansible.
• Ability to work remotely with occasional onsite presence when required.
