Junior Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

Daiichi Properties is seeking a Junior Corporate Legal Counsel to support its litigation and contract management functions. The role involves handling legal disputes, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, and assisting with land acquisition and AML compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for current and anticipated litigation, including risk analysis and mitigation.
• Coordinate with external law firms, manage costs, and oversee preparation of demand letters, pleadings, and other court documents.
• Implement remedial actions such as padlocking, utility disconnection, and property repossession when necessary.
• Travel to project sites to resolve boundary issues, eject illegal occupants, and conduct fact‑finding.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a variety of contracts, including leases, NDAs, and service agreements.
• Conduct land acquisition due diligence and facilitate title transfers.
• Support Anti‑Money Laundering Act (AMLA) compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree – Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws.
• Minimum of 5 years combined experience in a law firm and in‑house counsel role within real‑estate development.
• Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of land acquisition and title transfer processes.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to report to the office and travel to project locations as needed.
