Java Developer – Application Security

About the role

Avaloq is looking for a Java Developer to join its Security team. You will help design, build and maintain security‑focused tools and pipelines that protect the company’s wealth‑management platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design and develop security requirements together with product teams, customers and business analysts.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated tools for vulnerability management and security reporting.
• Monitor and manage third‑party library usage, updates and removals using in‑house tools and Mend (or similar).
• Evaluate detected vulnerabilities, assess exploitability, differentiate false positives and develop fixes.
• Maintain configuration control and ensure the accuracy of release baselines.
• Coordinate security‑related actions across multiple teams and produce documentation and reports on risks and remediation progress.
• Participate in technical discussions, sharing knowledge on security implementation and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills

• Java programming.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Vulnerability management and security reporting.
• Experience with third‑party library monitoring tools such as Mend.
• Configuration control and release management.
