ITS Support Engineer I (IT Services)

About the role

As an ITS Support Engineer, you will be the go‑to technical expert for Amazon corporate employees, delivering on‑site, end‑to‑end IT support that keeps productivity secure and uninterrupted. You will work independently or with partner teams, mentor peers, and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site, hands‑on support diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Evaluate log files and system health to identify root causes.
• Maintain and oversee IT asset inventories.
• Manage the ticket queue, keeping customers informed throughout resolution.
• Offer on‑call support for high‑severity incidents and serve as an escalation contact.
• Assist in triaging and escalating system or network outages to minimize downtime.
• Execute change‑management activities in a high‑availability environment.
• Collaborate with partner teams and vendors on continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring of new team members.
• Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with IT policies.
• Travel between local buildings and occasionally to other cities as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of IT standards, systems, and equipment deployed across Amazon.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Mentorship mindset and willingness to support team escalations.
