IT System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to lead the administration and platform management of our physical and virtual infrastructure. The role involves overseeing service delivery, incident handling, and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Administer physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure platforms.
• Plan and distribute workload, monitor team performance, and coach staff.
• Manage incident logging, categorization, and resolution while coordinating with NOCC, plant operations, and OT teams.
• Oversee platform operations including virtualization, cloud workloads, storage, backup, patching, and security hardening.
• Lead major incident response, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive automation and standardization initiatives.
• Enforce change control, configuration documentation, asset tracking, and disaster‑recovery readiness.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or system administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage cross‑functional incidents.

Required skills

• Administration of physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
• Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Cloud workload management (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Storage and backup solutions, including backup validation and restore testing.
• Patching, OS updates, and security hardening.
• Monitoring and alerting tools.
• Ticketing systems and incident escalation processes.
