IT Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an IT Security Specialist to safeguard our current environment while building the next generation of security infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in incident response, forensic investigations, and the hands‑on deployment of advanced security technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deep‑dive forensic investigations into security breaches and monitor real‑time threats.
• Act as technical lead for new security projects from design through full deployment.
• Configure and optimise a defence‑in‑depth stack including EDR, network security tools, and application security scanners.
• Implement and manage encryption, tokenisation, and data‑masking strategies for data at rest and in transit.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and cross‑functional IT teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations or engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure during incidents.

Required skills

• Deployment and tuning of EDR/XDR solutions.
• Next‑Gen Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, VPNs and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
• Memory, disk and network forensics.
• Cryptographic protocols, Key Management Systems and data‑masking/tokenisation techniques.
• SAST/DAST tools and securing CI/CD pipelines.
