IT Desktop Support Engineer (L2 Field Service)

About the role

The L2 Field Service Engineer provides on‑site technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices. This position is ideal for candidates starting their technology career or those with up to two years of IT support experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Perform hardware installation, replacement and basic repairs.
• Troubleshoot operating system issues on Windows and macOS and resolve common application problems.
• Deliver basic network support, including LAN/Wi‑Fi connectivity and patching.
• Install and configure software in line with company policies.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams.
• Maintain service logs, update ticketing tools and adhere to SLA timelines.
• Assist users courteously and communicate technical details clearly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in IT support or field service (freshers with strong technical knowledge are welcome).
• Good communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Windows OS and macOS troubleshooting.
• Hardware installation, replacement and basic repairs.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi‑Fi).
• Office 365 and common productivity tools.
• Ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy or Jira.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell or Bash.
• ITIL Foundation knowledge (preferred).
