Inventory Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Accounting Analyst will join Asurion's Finance team to provide global inventory and cost accounting support across APAC, LATAM, Canada and Europe. The role focuses on weekly inventory transaction runs, standard cost calculations and month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute weekly runs and analysis of inventory transactions for assigned business units.
• Prepare and maintain standard cost calculations, coordinate with IT for timely cost uploads, and validate loaded costs.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing inventory reserves, Cost of Goods Sold reports and purchase price variance analyses.
• Reconcile inventory and related account balances using DAX and Blackline, proposing adjustment entries as needed.
• Prepare journal entries and respond to internal and external auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, maintain related documentation, and support ad‑hoc regional finance requests.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and accounting with a strong focus on inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience in wireless, high‑tech, manufacturing or insurance industries is a plus.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, financial reporting and general accounting principles.
