Internal Auditor (Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, onsite Internal Auditor to join our rural bank in Silay City or Angeles City. Reporting directly to the ARC Committee, you will ensure that our accounting, banking operations, and internal controls comply with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain an effective internal control framework across all banking functions.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify operational risks, and support business continuity planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory disclosures, PFRS, and banking regulations.
• Review and act on reports of fraud, defalcations, or irregularities.
• Develop and execute a risk‑based audit plan in coordination with the Board, Audit Committee, and senior management.
• Audit accounting records for assets, liabilities, investments, income, and expenses.
• Coordinate with external auditors, review their reports, and oversee remediation of findings.
• Prepare audit reports and recommendations for the Board.

Required profile

• College graduate in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal or external audit within a rural bank.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and internal control systems.
• Ability to identify irregularities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Good analytical and reporting capabilities.
