Integration Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Integration Engineer to be the primary technical liaison for merchants integrating Pine Labs' payment solutions in the Philippines. You will guide merchants from onboarding through go‑live, ensure smooth operations, and collaborate closely with our teams in India and the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Work with merchants (retail, F&B, banks, kiosks) to understand business and technical needs and recommend the appropriate integration method (Wired ECR, Cloud‑Based, or App‑to‑App).
• Conduct API walkthroughs, technical sessions and guide merchants through UAT, integration audits and Go‑Live readiness.
• Support ECR integrations on Windows (COM‑based) and Android (Wiseasy) terminals for Visa, MasterCard, QRPH and other local payment modes.
• Troubleshoot live transaction issues, including voids, settlement failures, webhook configuration and response handling.
• Maintain day‑to‑day BAU operations, ensure system health, meet SLA targets and follow SOPs.
• Perform market visits to gather merchant feedback and relay insights to Product and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with the Tech Team on product enhancements, new feature rollouts and competitive analysis.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in payment or POS integrations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to merchant development teams.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver comfortable working across time zones.

Required skills

• API integration (REST, request‑response formats, error handling)
• ECR integration on Windows (COM‑based) and Android (Wiseasy)
• Knowledge of Visa, MasterCard, QRPH payment schemes
• TCP/IP socket and HTTPS integration
• MQTT concepts for cloud‑based and zero‑click flows
• Cloud‑Based Integration (CBI) and App‑to‑App integration
