Information Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to join its security operations team in Parañaque City. You will protect the organization’s digital assets by managing security controls, responding to incidents, and automating threat‑hunting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage technical security controls such as endpoint protection, email security gateways, SIEM, and web proxies.
• Lead end‑to‑end incident response and forensic investigations for network and endpoint compromises.
• Automate manual workflows and intelligence gathering through scripting to improve threat‑hunting capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues by collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Generate operational reports and dashboards for management by analyzing security data and tracking risk metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations (SecOps) role within a medium‑to‑large organization.
• Proven hands‑on experience with SIEM, DLP, vulnerability management, and privileged identity/access management (PIM/PAM).
• Demonstrated ability to conduct full incident response and forensic investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of trust and responsibility.
