In-House Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled, business‑oriented In‑House Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal advice and support across the organization. The role involves managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising management on matters that affect operations and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical legal advice to management and business units on a wide range of issues.
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry requirements.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial agreements such as service agreements, vendor contracts, customer agreements, NDAs, partnership and joint‑venture agreements, and employment contracts.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies; develop compliance programs and legal policies.
• Support corporate secretarial functions, board meetings, resolutions and corporate filings.
• Manage disputes, claims and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when needed.
• Advise HR on employment law matters, review policies and assist with employee‑related investigations.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for new initiatives and develop training programs for employees.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent degree.
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the relevant bar association.
• 35+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
• Experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, compliance and regulatory matters.
