About the role

Join 51Talk’s global online education platform as a home‑based English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. No prior teaching experience is required, and you can work part‑time or full‑time delivering live, one‑on‑one lessons to students worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging one‑on‑one English lessons using the 51Talk platform.
• Follow provided lesson materials and maintain a structured lesson flow.
• Ensure a professional, distraction‑free online teaching environment.
• Adhere to scheduled lesson times and complete sessions on time.
• Provide positive learning experiences and gather student feedback.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching English and clear, natural spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or associate degree (any field); relevant experience considered.
• Experience in ESL or classroom teaching is preferred but not mandatory.
• TESOL or TEFL certification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Operating System: Windows 10 or newer.
• Processor: Intel Core i5 (10th Gen) up to i9, AMD A‑Series A8 7500 or newer, AMD Ryzen.
• Memory: Minimum 8 GB RAM and at least 100 GB free disk space.
• Webcam: HD (720p) external or integrated.
• Headset: Extended microphone with noise‑cancelling features.
• Internet: Wired or wireless connection of at least 25 Mbps.
