About the role

- Develop the "Pay with T1" button as a reusable 1‑click credential across the merchant ecosystem.
- Launch the simplest self‑serve payment engine for links, WhatsApp and checkout.
- Create monetisation tools for services and creators, including AI‑driven payment pages, subscriptions, memberships and tokenised recurring payments.
- Design and scale payment architecture: gateway, acquiring, multi‑acquirer routing and high availability.
- Increase authorization rates through issuer/segment optimisation, routing strategies, retries and observability.
- Build API and checkout layers for AI‑driven commerce agents.
- Form strategic alliances with financial institutions and group distribution assets.
- Lead engineering squads and integrate the enterprise commercial arm.
- Establish growth/self‑serve functions with full funnel instrumentation and production dashboards.
Required profile
- 6‑12 years of experience in payments/fintech with deep knowledge of acquiring, interchange, aggregation, tokenisation, 3DS, authorisation, chargebacks, reconciliation and fraud prevention.
- Proven track record launching 0‑to‑1 payment products, preferably with multi‑acquirer routing and high‑availability design.
- Strong understanding of Mexican regulations (Banxico, CNBV, Fintech Law), SPEI, CoDi, DiMo and competitive landscape (Mercado Pago, Clip, Stripe, etc.).
- Expertise in pricing and unit‑economics of PSPs, building transaction‑level P&L and segment‑based pricing models.
