Head of Legal (Remote, Nightshift)

About the role

The Head of Legal is a senior legal professional reporting to the CFO, responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel across commercial contracts, governance, compliance, risk management, employment, and data privacy. This remote, night‑shift position requires independent judgment and practical guidance to support business growth while mitigating legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to executive leadership on operational and strategic matters.
• Engage early in client engagements, partnerships, and new initiatives to advise on structure, risk, and contractual terms.
• Assess legal and regulatory risks and develop business‑aligned solutions.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including search, advisory, vendor, partnership, and NDA contracts.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, approval workflows, and a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system.
• Lead contract repository administration, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
• Oversee the company’s data privacy program and ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Required profile

• Senior legal professional with extensive experience in commercial contracts and corporate governance.
• Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical, business‑focused legal advice.
• Strong partnership skills to work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, Technology, and Client Delivery teams.
• Experience managing outside counsel and leading legal risk mitigation initiatives.
