Gender Officer

About the role

The Gender Officer will join the Gender Equality Division within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department of the Asian Development Bank. Based in Manila, the role supports gender‑focused outcomes across ADB operations, providing technical assistance and monitoring to ensure effective gender mainstreaming.

Key responsibilities

• Support the integration of gender equality outcomes into loans, grants and technical assistance projects.
• Provide technical advice to Executing and Implementing Agencies and private‑sector clients on Gender Assessment and Action Plans (GAAPs).
• Monitor and report on gender‑related results, reviewing project documents such as GAAPs, completion reports and surveys.
• Coordinate and deliver gender mainstreaming training and capacity‑building workshops for clients and project staff.
• Develop knowledge products including case studies, briefs, blogs and country‑specific gender updates.
• Assist with advocacy, dissemination and internal/external knowledge building on gender and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in gender equality, development projects, or related technical assistance.
• Familiarity with loan and grant processing within an international development context.
