Gateway Operations Agent

About the role

The Gateway Operations Agent ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments are processed in line with DHL Network standards and local regulations. You will support the Service Centre by handling paperwork, managing data, and coordinating with third‑party brokers to meet transit‑time targets.

Key responsibilities

• Process inbound material on arrival, make it available to couriers, and secure non‑delivery items according to security policies.
• Handle outbound shipments following the latest procedures and ensure timely clearance.
• Capture and transmit shipment information to the DHL Network.
• Manage handover of paperwork to third‑party brokers and maintain accurate documentation.
• Arrange and attend physical inspections by authorities, recording actions taken.
• Monitor equipment performance, take corrective actions, and keep the work area clean and ready for the next cycle.
• Update customer databases with relevant shipment data and compile supporting documentation for import/export declarations.

Required profile

• Experience working with customs clearance processes.
• Ability to work under tight time‑frames and meet performance targets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
