Funds Attorney (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Funds Attorney to join a leading global financial services client on a contractual basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on providing expert legal guidance for investment fund operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting complex fund transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate fund agreements such as limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, and side letters.
• Advise on regulatory compliance matters, including investment fund regulations and securities laws.
• Provide legal guidance on fund structuring, governance, and operational issues.
• Assist in due‑diligence processes for fund investments and transactions.
• Monitor and interpret changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting fund operations.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience focused on investment funds, private equity, or venture capital.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience in fund documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
