Frontend Engineer

About the role

Coins, a leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is looking for a Frontend Engineer to build and enhance user‑facing products for its mobile app and web platforms. You will work closely with product owners and designers to turn business requirements into high‑quality, performant interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and UX Designers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Make architectural decisions, balancing speed, scalability and code quality for new features.
• Develop responsive, robust front‑end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure design integrity and maintain engineering standards.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate technical risks and dependencies throughout the SDLC.
• Write unit and functional automated tests to guarantee reliability and prevent regressions.
• Own performance, operational stability and serviceability of the user experience.
• Research emerging technologies and propose improvements to the tech stack.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of front‑end development experience, including at least 1 year focused on front‑end architecture and system design.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS.
• React and Vue ecosystems, including state‑management tools.
• WeChat Mini‑Program frameworks (WXSS, WXML).
• Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols and RESTful API integration.
• Knowledge of modern front‑end build tools and testing frameworks.
