Freight Forwarder – Air Freight

About the role

DSV is seeking an Air Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate daily import and export air‑freight shipments. The role involves close interaction with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee daily import and export air‑freight shipments.
• Arrange bookings with carriers, DSV origin/destination offices, and external agents.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, transport teams, and vendors as required.
• Ensure timely dispatch of documents, pre‑alerts, and shipment updates.
• Open, manage, and close job files from start to completion.
• Prepare and provide complete document sets for customers, origin offices, or authorities.
• Execute export AWBs and generate import Notices of Arrival.
• Create and send e‑manifests and status updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate data in CargoWise (CW1) and ensure compliance with system requirements.
• Estimate gross profit using job costing and prepare billing invoices.
• Address billing disputes, customer concerns, and service complaints promptly.
• Produce internal and external reports and perform weekly file checks for compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate with at least a 4‑year bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year of operational experience in air‑freight import/export.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of CargoWise (CW1) – advantageous.
