Forecasting, Planning & Analysis – Spending Optimization

About the role

The role focuses on evaluating and optimizing Shopee’s spending plans to support growth targets for users, sellers, and overall profitability. You will work closely with multiple business units to ensure that voucher, rebate, and cost strategies are both effective and data‑driven.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the impact of current spending plans on growth objectives, concentrating on vouchers, rebates, and variable costs, with future expansion to fixed costs.
• Demonstrate to management, using statistical models, that existing spending plans are optimal in both qualitative and quantitative terms.
• Leverage statistical analysis to persuade stakeholders across business units to adjust spending plans for optimal outcomes.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and develop forecast models for various scenarios to stay ahead of fast‑changing e‑commerce trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
