Financial Reporting Analyst – Canada Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst specialized in Canada tax to join our finance team. You will prepare accurate financial statements, support analysis, ensure compliance with IFRS/ASPE, and assist with tax and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial statements, budget vs. actual reports, and other analyses in line with IFRS/ASPE.
• Present financial results and analyses to management.
• Research and draft financial accounting memorandums.
• Support external reporting requirements and act as liaison during audits.
• Review financial information for filings, presentations, and other materials.
• Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and tax return preparation.
• Complete GST/PST filings and related examinations.
• Perform core accounting tasks: reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and capital expenditure monitoring.
• Document and monitor internal controls and participate in ad‑hoc analyses and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements under IFRS and/or ASPE.
• Proven background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Knowledge of tax preparation, GST/PST filings, and external audit support.
• Hands‑on accounting experience including reconciliations, AP, AR, accruals, and internal controls.
