Financial Planning Officer – Banking

About the role

The Financial Planning Officer supports the bank’s management team in shaping its financial future. Working closely with senior leaders, the officer helps develop budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans that guide strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Manage processes and systems for forecasting, budgeting and consolidation.
• Ensure operational execution of the assigned work plan.
• Deliver long‑term (5‑year and beyond) and annual & mid‑year budgets to management.
• Prepare and update rolling forecasts for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and cash flow.
• Conduct variance analysis comparing budgets to actual results.
• Support the Corporate Planning Team in developing key strategies and policies, considering wider bank implications.
• Assist the Corporate Planning Team in creating 10‑year financial projections for the parent company (UBP).
• Drive continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues.
• Perform any other duties that fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of the role.

Required profile

• Reports directly to the Management Reporting Head.
• Assists management in the bank’s financial planning process.
