Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance function of a fast‑growing food group, ensuring accurate reporting, robust budgeting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This senior position demands strong analytical abilities, leadership skills and deep knowledge of the food and beverage industry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for accuracy.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget and long‑term financial plans.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct cost analysis to support pricing decisions and improve profitability.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvements in financial performance.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, tax and internal policy requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Provide strategic financial input to senior management and business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (CPA preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in food, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
