Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee outsourced accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance processes, and close cycles for a fast‑growing business. The role ensures accurate, timely, and scalable financial oversight across multiple units and locations while maintaining disciplined accounting controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, review financial statements, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review journal entries for accruals, inventory, depreciation and operational accounting.
• Record and manage inventory accounting entries, investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain fixed‑asset schedules, record additions, disposals and depreciation accurately.
• Complete and review sales & use tax, excise tax, food & beverage tax, and shipping & distribution regulatory filings.
• Ensure organized documentation for all regulatory filings and meet deadlines consistently.
• Support cash flow management and financial reporting for corporate leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing month‑end close and financial reporting processes.
• Strong understanding of inventory and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Experience with regulatory tax filings and compliance obligations.
• Ability to lead and coordinate outsourced accounting teams.
