Financial Controller

About the role

Filinvest Hospitality is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the financial management of its hotel portfolio across the Philippines. The role will ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate monthly management reports to the corporate office on time.
• Develop, monitor and implement the annual hotel budget, collaborating with EXCOM and department heads.
• Forecast revenue and expenses, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Train staff on transaction flows and promote cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Implement new accounting standards, SEC and BIR regulations, and assess their applicability.
• Present regulatory implications and options to management.
• Monitor internal controls, identify issues, and ensure timely remediation.
• Review and approve audit reports, draft audited financial statements, and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Design and implement risk‑management plans, ensure appropriate insurance coverage, and coordinate with the Insurance/Risk Department.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, SEC and BIR regulations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for hospitality operations.
• Ability to communicate complex financial and regulatory matters to senior management.
• Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing control improvements.
