Financial Controller – Batangas

About the role

You will own day‑to‑day accounting, cost control and financial reporting for the Batangas office, supporting project and operational decisions in a fast‑moving energy‑sector environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting functions including month‑end close, ledger, AP/AR, payroll support and statutory compliance.
• Drive cost control across projects by tracking actuals versus budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports and forecasts for Head Office, Country Manager and Senior Financial Controller.
• Support project costing, job costing and cash‑flow visibility.
• Utilise and help implement AI‑enabled finance tools to improve accuracy, speed and insight.
• Liaise daily with Head Office, Country Manager and Senior Financial Controller while maintaining strong internal controls and audit compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in energy, power, construction or industrial projects.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong command of general accounting and proven cost‑control capability.
• Confident communicator able to work with operational and senior finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a project office while staying tightly aligned with Head Office.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Practical understanding of AI‑enabled finance tools (reporting, analysis, automation).
